Resource: Accessibility

Accessibility benefits all readers, whether it’s about language, style, content, format or design.

As much as possible, be aware of your multiple audiences and their accessibility needs from the scoping phase onwards. This will help make sure that content is being created and edited to serve many levels of accessibility, right from the start. Later on, less remediation will be needed, which can be time and resource intensive.

Lots of great resources exist to help you think about and write for accessibility, such as the BCcampus Open Education Accessibility Toolkit and our Rebus Guide.
